All Students put in a fantastic effort as they competed against each other during our sports day, to help earn points for their houses. Well done to all students who took part and made this such a competitive and fun event, but there can only be one winner!
The SAA Starlets continue to do us proud, delivering yet again, another outstanding perfomance and retaining their title at the Future Cheer competition in Bournemouth.
Students and staff from Sybil Andrews Academy were incredibly privileged to be invited along to the Moyse's Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds to visit the Sybil Andrews Art exhibition and also take part in a Horrible Histories tour.
We recently marked the very special 120th Birthday of Sybil Andrews and there was no better way to celebrate than spending it with some of her family.
We have been very privileged to host The Arts Society Bury St Edmunds Golden Jubilee Celebration which was a truly memorable event, and were delighted to welcome along the Mayor of St Edmundsbury, members of the Arts Society and our students family and friends.
Sybil Andrews Academy is very pleased to announce that we have now completed the first stage of our Artsmark journey and have successfully joined the Artsmark community!
A previous winner of a national teacher of the year award has been appointed as the new interim headteacher at Sybil Andrews Academy.
We are delighted to have welcomed Alfie Carpenter into school as our Artist in Residence, to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Bury Arts Society. Alfie has worked alongside a group of students to respond to their view of Suffolk and the school community.
