SAA students are runners up in the Cambridge University Competition!
Sybil Andrews Academy students recently claimed second prize in a myths and legends competition hosted by Cambridge University. Year 7 students were tasked to respond with either a performance or an artistic response to the Ovid stories they have been studying in English. Students were treated to a 45 minute tale by Hugh Lupton to the backdrop of the Faculty of Classics museum. Following this, the prizes were awarded, with two of our students claiming second prize for their re-telling of 'Pandora's Box' through a musical. Other finalists were for a Theseus and Minotaur statue, a Minotaur head and a song.
A great day was had by all and Sybil Andrews looks forward to returning to the competition next year.
