TEACHER OF ENGLISH

We are seeking a dynamic, reflective and enthusiastic teacher of English to cover part of a maternity vacancy at our new and expanding school. Our school is well resourced and benefits from calling a multi-million-pound campus ‘home.’  Effective teaching and learning are at the heart of what we do, so the successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, be innovative and be committed to achieving the highest outcomes for all pupils.

Our school is a small, tight-knit community, with approximately 430 pupils at present, all of whom are in years 7-10.  Ultimately the school will grow to around 1,000 and include pupils in the age range 11-16.  English is a major part of our curriculum, is well led and well resourced.

LEAD PRACTITIONER OF ENGLISH

We are seeking an outstanding Lead Practitioner to join our growing English Department. As a core subject, this department is experiencing growth and requires support to help further develop and to allow us to continue to offer the high level of teaching that has been achieved thus far.  
 
Main responsibilities will include: 
  • To deliver a very high standard of teaching within the English Department;
  • Highest possible standard of learning through coaching and mentoring of staff;
  • Take a lead role in determining and developing policies, procedures and practice, promoting collective responsibility for their implementation to ensure high achievement through effective teaching and learning;
  • To use local and national statistical data to evaluate learners progress and attainment and to provide a basis for improving teaching and learning.

Learning Support Assistant

 

Grade 3.12 - £15,823 pro rata

37 hours per week/40 weeks per year

Sybil Andrews Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled teaching assistant to start as soon as possible.  The role will require you to oversee the support of an individual student.  Personal care will be required but support will be provided.
